BISE AJK is responsible for taking secondary and higher secondary school exams in all over Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The board was established in 1973 in Mirpur AJK. Lahore board was the board taking SSC and HSSC exams before the establishment of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education AJK board.
