Federal Board 9th Class Result 2026 | FBISE Result Date

Posted on July 28, 2026July 28, 2026 by Sara Khan

Every year, thousands of students sitting under the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education wait for one number to appear on a screen. Not the aggregate, not the grade — the roll number, matched with a name, followed by marks. If you appeared in the SSC Part 1 annual examination under FBISE, this page walks you through how the result reaches you, what the marks sheet contains, and what you can do if something on it looks wrong.

The result of Federal Board SSC, Matric Part 1 and 2 will be announced on 29th July 2026 Wednesday at 11 AM.

The Federal Board sits apart from the provincial boards in one obvious way: its affiliated institutions are scattered across the country and outside it. Cadet colleges, Army Public Schools, Federal Government schools in cantonments and garrisons, private schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and Pakistani community schools in the Gulf, Iran and a handful of other countries all send candidates to the same examination hall system. A student in Jeddah and a student in Wah Cantt open the same gazette. That single fact shapes how the board announces results and why online checking matters more here than for a district-bound board.

Checking your SSC Part 1 result on rezult.pk

You do not have to sit refreshing the board portal on announcement day while it buckles under traffic. Our Federal Board result section carries Class 9 results for both Science group and General group candidates, and the search takes about fifteen seconds.

Go to the FBISE 9th class result page and do this:

  1. Enter your roll number in the search box exactly as it appears on your roll number slip. No spaces, no dashes, no leading letters unless the slip carries them.
  2. Select the class from the dropdown — choose 9th Class (SSC Part 1).
  3. Select the exam year — 2026 for the current annual session.
  4. Click the Search Result button.

The result card loads on the same page. From there you can screenshot it, save it, or send it to your parents on WhatsApp without downloading anything.

Federal Board 9th Class Result 2026 | FBISE Result Date

If you want the full board section rather than one class — 10th class results, HSSC Part 1 and Part 2, supplementary announcements, date sheets — the Federal Board main page links all of it in one place.

Urdu-medium students and parents who find the English layout awkward can use the اردو صفحہ for the Federal Board 9th class result. Same search fields, same data, written the way a teacher would explain it at home.

What you need before you search

ItemWhy it matters
Roll numberThe only field the search truly depends on. Copy it from the roll number slip, not from memory.
Class selectionClass 9 and Class 10 records are stored separately. Picking SSC Part 2 by mistake returns nothing.
Exam yearAnnual 2026 and supplementary sessions are different datasets.
GroupNot needed to search, but you will want to know whether you sat Science group or General group when you read the subject rows.

Lost your roll number slip? Your school office keeps a copy of the consolidated roll number list issued by the board. Ask the exam clerk before you start guessing digits — a wrong roll number can pull up a stranger’s marks and cause an hour of unnecessary panic.

Result on the official FBISE portal

The board declares the SSC Part 1 result through its own website, fbise.edu.pk, along with a press release that goes to newspapers and school heads on the same day. The official announcement is the one that counts for admission, appeal and record purposes.

The board also releases the result to schools in gazette form, and heads of institutions usually receive it before or alongside the public announcement. In many Federal Government and Army Public School branches, the school displays the class-wise list on a notice board the same morning.

An SMS service is announced with each declaration; the short code is printed in the board’s own press note. Do not trust a code forwarded in a WhatsApp group unless you can trace it back to the board’s notification, because premium-rate scam numbers appear around result season every single year.

What the Federal Board marks sheet shows

The Detailed Marks Certificate — everyone calls it the DMC — is not just a total. Read every row, because most correction requests come from students who only looked at the bottom line.

Field on the DMCWhat to check
Candidate name and father’s nameSpelling must match your CNIC or B-Form. A mismatch causes trouble at 10th class registration.
Roll number and registration numberThe registration number follows you into HSSC, so note it down somewhere permanent.
GroupScience group or General group, as registered.
Subject-wise marksTheory and practical shown separately for science subjects.
Total marks obtainedAdd the subject rows yourself once. It takes a minute and it catches tabulation slips.
GradeAssigned against the board’s notified grading bands.
Result statusPass, Fail, or a reference such as absent or result withheld.

Practical marks deserve a second look. In Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science, the theory paper and the practical are assessed separately, and a candidate can clear the theory while falling short in the lab component. If a practical column is blank or shows zero when you know you performed the experiment, that is a documentation issue between your school and the board, and it needs to be raised in writing rather than argued about verbally.

Grading bands used for SSC Part 1

FBISE assesses on an absolute scale, with grades tied to percentage ranges rather than to how the rest of your batch performed.

GradePercentage rangeHow it reads on paper
A+90 and aboveTop band
A80 to 89Strong
B70 to 79Good
C60 to 69Fair
D50 to 59Satisfactory
E40 to 49Pass
FBelow 40Fail

Two cautions here. The board has revised its grading structure more than once in recent years, so confirm the bands against the notification printed on your own DMC rather than assuming last year’s scale applies. And the minimum pass requirement is a separate matter from the grade — a candidate must clear the prescribed minimum in each subject, theory and practical counted as required, not merely reach a total.

Science group and General group subjects

Your subject rows on the DMC depend on which group your school registered you in at the start of Class 9.

GroupCore subjects at SSC Part 1Elective side
Science groupUrdu, English, Islamiyat / Ethics, Pakistan Studies, MathematicsPhysics, Chemistry, and Biology or Computer Science
General groupUrdu, English, Islamiyat / Ethics, Pakistan Studies, General MathematicsGeneral Science plus electives such as Civics, Economics, Geography, Islamic Studies (elective) or a Commerce elective, depending on what the school offers

Not every affiliated school offers every elective. Overseas Pakistani schools in particular run a narrower list because of staffing, and cadet colleges lean heavily toward Science group. Check your own registration card if you are unsure which combination is recorded against your name — the DMC will only show what the board has on file, and a subject you studied informally will not appear.

When the result is usually announced

The Federal Board announces the SSC Part 1 result some weeks after the annual papers conclude, once marking, tabulation and gazette preparation are finished. The gap between the last paper and the announcement has varied year to year, and the board has been adjusting its examination calendar as the national curriculum rollout continues.

No date is confirmed until FBISE issues it. Anyone posting a specific date and time before the board’s own notification is guessing, and every result season produces a crop of fake screenshots claiming otherwise. Watch the board’s notifications section, watch your school office, and check our Federal Board section — we publish the declaration as soon as it is official, not before.

Reading the gazette

The gazette is the board’s complete result document, listing candidates by roll number across all affiliated institutions. Schools receive it, and it is the reference used to settle disputes about what was actually declared.

Students rarely need the gazette for a routine pass. It becomes useful when:

  • Your online result does not load but classmates’ results do
  • Your school claims your result is withheld and you want to see the entry
  • You are compiling institution-level data for a school report
  • A name or subject error needs to be traced back to source

If you only want your own marks, the online search on our 9th class result page is faster and easier to read than scrolling a PDF of several thousand roll numbers.

When marks look wrong

Federal Board does not re-mark papers on request. What it offers is rechecking — a clerical verification. The staff confirm that every question carries a mark, that the marks on each page were added correctly, that the total was carried over accurately to the award list, and that no portion of the paper was left unmarked.

What rechecking will not do is reconsider whether your answer to question four deserved three marks instead of one. That is re-evaluation, and the board does not entertain it.

The process, in order:

  1. Apply within the deadline the board announces with the result. This window is short, usually a matter of weeks, and no exception is made for late applications.
  2. Pay the prescribed fee per paper through the bank challan or the payment channel the board specifies in its notification. Fee amounts change, so read the current notification rather than relying on what a senior told you.
  3. Submit the application with your DMC copy and roll number slip copy through the route the board specifies.
  4. Wait for the written reply. If a clerical error is found, a corrected DMC is issued and the fee is normally refunded. If nothing is found, the original result stands.

Be realistic about the odds. Most rechecking applications return the same total, because tabulation errors are uncommon. Apply when your marks in a subject are wildly out of line with your school test record — a student who scored consistently in the seventies suddenly landing in the thirties has a reason to check. Applying in every subject out of general disappointment costs money and returns nothing.

Failed a paper — what happens next

A fail in one or two subjects at SSC Part 1 is not the end of your Matric. FBISE conducts supplementary examinations for candidates who need to clear failed papers.

Points to sort out early:

  • Which subjects you must repeat. Only the papers you failed, not the whole year.
  • The admission form deadline. Supplementary forms open shortly after the annual result and close quickly. Missing the window pushes you a full session back.
  • Fee and late fee slabs. The board publishes normal, late and double-late fee schedules. Submitting on the first slab saves real money.
  • Whether your practical needs repeating. If you failed theory only, confirm with your school whether the practical mark carries forward.
  • Your Class 10 admission. Most schools promote you to Class 10 provisionally while you clear the supplementary paper, but the school’s own policy applies.

Students in overseas affiliated schools should raise this with the school administration immediately, since form submission and fee transfer take longer from abroad.

Why Class 9 marks stay with you

Under the Federal Board’s SSC scheme, the Part 1 and Part 2 results combine into your final Matric marks. The marks you earn in ninth class do not reset when you enter Class 10 — they sit in your total and they decide how much room you have left.

Two students illustrate it better than any explanation. One lands a modest score in Class 9 and spends the whole of Class 10 trying to pull the aggregate up, needing near-perfect papers just to reach a decent overall percentage. The other banks a strong Part 1 result and enters Class 10 with breathing space, able to focus on subjects rather than on damage control.

This matters at the next stage too. Admission to good colleges for FSc pre-medical, pre-engineering, ICS, ICom and FA depends on your Matric aggregate, and cadet colleges and Army Public Schools in particular apply their own internal cut-offs for continuation into HSSC. Class 9 is half of that number.

Mistakes students make on result day

  • Searching with the previous year’s roll number after a supplementary attempt changed it
  • Selecting Class 10 in the dropdown while looking for a 9th class result
  • Trusting a result screenshot circulated on social media instead of checking the roll number themselves
  • Paying money to a page promising early access to the result — no such access exists
  • Ignoring a spelling error in the name because “it’s just the marks sheet”, then facing the same error on the Matric certificate two years later
  • Missing the rechecking deadline while deciding whether to apply
  • Assuming a blank practical column will fix itself

That name-spelling point is worth taking seriously. Corrections are far simpler at the Class 9 stage than after your final SSC certificate is printed, and the documents follow you into college admission, university, NADRA records and eventually job applications.

Keeping your documents safe

Once your result is out:

  • Save a digital copy of the online result card on your phone and email it to yourself
  • Collect the original DMC from your school when the board dispatches it
  • Photocopy the DMC at least twice and keep the copies separate from the original
  • Note your registration number somewhere you will still have access to in two years
  • Store the roll number slip until the Matric certificate is in hand

Questions students ask

Can I check the FBISE 9th class result without a roll number?

No. The board’s records are indexed by roll number, and neither the official portal nor our search page can retrieve a result by name alone. If your slip is lost, your school office holds the roll number list issued by the board.

Is the result on rezult.pk the same as the board’s?

We publish the same result data the board declares, presented in a page that loads quickly on a phone. For any official use — admission, appeal, employment — the board’s own DMC and gazette remain the authoritative record.

My result shows as withheld. What now?

Withheld results usually trace back to an unresolved administrative matter — an incomplete registration, an unpaid fee, or a case pending with the unfair means committee. The school is the first stop, not the board. They will tell you what is pending and how to clear it.

Do Science group and General group results come out together?

Yes. The board declares the SSC Part 1 result for all candidates in one announcement, regardless of group.

Can rechecking lower my marks?

Rechecking corrects clerical errors in either direction, though in practice a correction that reduces a total is rare. The verification is about accuracy, not about defending the original figure.

How do overseas students get their DMC?

Through the affiliated school, which receives documents from the board and distributes them locally. Timelines run longer than for schools inside Pakistan, so allow for it.

Does a supplementary pass appear differently on my certificate?

The final SSC certificate records the subjects and the marks. Students often worry that a supplementary attempt marks them permanently — for college admission, what matters is the aggregate you finish with.

Result day is loud, and for a few hours it feels like the number defines everything. It does not. A weak Part 1 result can be recovered in Class 10, and a strong one still has to be earned again. Check your marks calmly, read every row on the sheet, sort out any error while the deadline is still open, and then go back to work.
