Every year, Wifaq ul Madaris announces province-wise position holders alongside the national list. For 1447 Hijri, provincial toppers were declared for all six regions of Pakistan — Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK). Both Baneen and Banat lists are published separately for each province and Darja.
A standout observation from the 2026 results: the national Almiyah (Year 1) Baneen podium was swept entirely by students from Karachi-based madrasas, though the students themselves hailed from Buner (KPK), Qilla Abdullah (Balochistan), and Karak (KPK). This reflects a long-standing pattern where students from smaller towns travel to major urban madrasas — particularly in Karachi — for their final years of Dars-e-Nizami, and consistently produce the country’s top scholars.

About Wifaq ul Madaris Al Arabia Pakistan
Founded in 1959, Wifaq ul Madaris Al Arabia Pakistan is headquartered in Garden Town, Multan, and is the largest Islamic education regulatory board in the country. It affiliates over 25,000 madrasas spread across Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. As of the 2026 session, it oversees the education of roughly 38 lakh students — 24 lakh boys and 14 lakh girls — taught by approximately 2 lakh male and 15,000 female teachers.
The board regulates curriculum, examination, degree issuance, and institutional accreditation for the Dars-e-Nizami and Hifz ul Quran programs. Its degrees are officially recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan: the Almiyah (Daura-e-Hadith) is equivalent to MA in Arabic and Islamic Studies; lower levels correspond to Matric, Intermediate (FA), and BA as applicable. The board’s annual examination process involves over 2,200 scholars and examiners working across all provinces simultaneously.
