Sahiwal Board Matric Toppers — Position List, Plus a Working Checklist for the Next Student
Sahiwal is one of Punjab’s younger boards, carved out of territory that previously sat under other jurisdictions. The newness shows in useful ways. The candidature is manageable, processing moves briskly, and the position list has not settled into the same predictable set of institutions that dominate older boards. Okara and Pakpattan schools compete with Sahiwal city on genuinely open ground.

☐ Checklist A — checking your result today
- [ ] Find your roll number. Slip lost? Your school office holds the board-issued list for the institution.
- [ ] Open the BISE Sahiwal result page
- [ ] Enter the roll number exactly as printed — no spaces, no dashes, leading zeros included
- [ ] Set the class dropdown to 10th Class (Matric and SSC Part-II are the same record)
- [ ] Set the exam year to the session you appeared in
- [ ] Press Search Result
- [ ] Read the full marksheet: subject-wise marks, aggregate, grade, pass status
- [ ] Prefer Urdu? Use ساہیوال بورڈ دسویں جماعت رزلٹ instead
Nothing loaded? Change the year first — that is the usual fault, not the roll number. Then check the class dropdown. Then re-enter the number in case a digit dropped. If it still returns nothing, the gazette record may not have propagated and a few hours will fix it.
Science and General group candidates are both covered. Board portals struggle badly under announcement-day load; ours reads the same gazette data and stays reachable.
☐ Checklist B — deciding whether you are eligible for a position
Work down this. One “no” removes you from the ranking.
- [ ] Regular candidate, not private
- [ ] Annual examination, not supplementary
- [ ] Not an improvement-of-marks attempt
- [ ] No unfair-means proceeding pending
- [ ] Aggregate calculated on both years, not just 10th
That last item removes more students than the rest combined. The board ranks on 1100 marks — 550 carried from SSC Part-I and 550 from SSC Part-II. A student who was outstanding in 10th and ordinary in 9th finishes behind a student who was very good in both, and there is no mechanism that weights the final year more heavily.
Where two candidates tie on aggregate, a joint position may be declared. Science and General group are ranked as separate lists.
☐ Checklist C — knowing where your marks came from
Science group, SSC Part-II
| Subject | Theory | Practical | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| English | 75 | — | 75 |
| Urdu | 75 | — | 75 |
| Islamiyat / Ethics | 50 | — | 50 |
| Pakistan Studies | 50 | — | 50 |
| Mathematics | 75 | — | 75 |
| Physics | 65 | 10 | 75 |
| Chemistry | 65 | 10 | 75 |
| Biology / Computer Science | 65 | 10 | 75 |
General group, SSC Part-II — English 75, Urdu 75, General Science 75, General Mathematics 75, Islamiyat or Ethics 50, Pakistan Studies 50, two electives at 75 each.
Grade bands
| Grade | Percentage |
|---|---|
| A1 | 80% and above |
| A | 70% – 79% |
| B | 60% – 69% |
| C | 50% – 59% |
| D | 40% – 49% |
| E | 33% – 39% |
| F | below 33% |
☐ Checklist D — a year plan for the next position candidate
Session start
- [ ] Pull out the 9th class marksheet and identify the weakest paper
- [ ] Repair those chapters before new syllabus buries them
- [ ] Confirm the elective registration is what you actually want
First term
- [ ] One clean pass through every subject
- [ ] Chapter tests, marked honestly against the scheme
- [ ] Start a single mistake notebook and keep it all year
Mid-session
- [ ] Physics and Chemistry numericals drilled, formula written before substitution
- [ ] Mathematics theorems with statement, figure, given, to prove, construction, proof
- [ ] English formats — letter, application, précis word limit, translation
Practical season
- [ ] Notebooks completed properly, not rushed
- [ ] Viva prepared for all three science subjects
- [ ] Thirty marks confirmed as recorded
Eight weeks out
- [ ] At least one full past paper per week, three hours, no phone
- [ ] Mark each one against the official scheme afterwards
- [ ] Note the questions where time ran out
Final fortnight
- [ ] Short questions and definitions to reflex
- [ ] Mistake notebook reviewed end to end
- [ ] No new material
Exam week
- [ ] Sleep
- [ ] Roll number slip and stationery packed the night before
The last line is not filler. Students who study through the night before a paper make arithmetic errors on content they know perfectly, and in a race decided by five or six marks that is the entire margin.
Why consistency beats brilliance in a board this size
In a candidature the scale of Sahiwal’s, a student who scores steadily across all eight papers usually finishes above a student with two spectacular papers and one weak one. There is no room to absorb a bad Mathematics result.
Which makes the boring advice more valuable here than the dramatic advice about mastering difficult chapters. Cover everything. Skip nothing. Revise on a schedule rather than on a mood.
☐ Checklist E — after the result
- [ ] Total looks wrong → apply for rechecking inside the board’s announced window. It verifies addition, confirms every question was marked, checks for skipped pages. It does not re-evaluate your answers.
- [ ] Failed a paper → register for the supplementary examination, same academic year, before the announced deadline
- [ ] Need documents → DMC and certificate are issued through your institution
- [ ] Admission pending → a provisional marksheet from your school covers the gap
- [ ] DMC lost later → apply at the board office with the prescribed form and fee
Districts
Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan. Three districts, a moderate candidature, and a merit race where a strong government high school produces board toppers without anyone finding it remarkable.
