BISE Lahore 10th Class Toppers List — Position Holders, Marks and Full Result Check Guide
Lahore Board handles the largest matric candidature in Punjab, and that single fact explains why its position list carries the weight it does. When a student from Kasur or Nankana Sahib lands in the top three here, they have edged past a pool that no other board in the province can match in size. The toppers list, released alongside the SSC Part-II gazette, is the document every school principal in the region waits for.
This page keeps two things together: the position-holder record for Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore, and a working guide to pulling your own matric result on rezult.pk without queuing behind a crashed official server.
Check Your 10th Class Result on rezult.pk
Result day traffic on board websites is brutal. Around noon, when the gazette goes live, the official portal usually slows to a crawl. Our result system runs on the same board data and stays up.
Here is the sequence:
- Open BISE Lahore result page on rezult.pk
- Type your roll number exactly as printed on your admit card — no spaces, no dashes
- Pick your class from the dropdown (10th Class / SSC Part-II / Matric)
- Select the exam year
- Press the Search Result button
Your marksheet loads with subject-wise marks, total obtained, grade and pass status. Urdu readers can use the لاہور بورڈ دسویں جماعت رزلٹ page instead.
A small warning worth repeating every year: keep your roll number slip. Every second query we get on result day is from a student who threw the slip away after the last paper. If yours is gone, your school office keeps a copy of the roll number list submitted with your admission form.
BISE Lahore Matric Position Holders
Positions are announced for both groups. Science group draws the bulk of the entries; General group toppers are announced separately so that arts-side students compete on level ground.
Science Group Position Holders
| Position | Student Name | Father’s Name | Institution | Marks Obtained | Total Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 1100 | ||||
| 2nd | 1100 | ||||
| 3rd | 1100 |
General Group Position Holders
| Position | Student Name | Father’s Name | Institution | Marks Obtained | Total Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 1100 | ||||
| 2nd | 1100 | ||||
| 3rd | 1100 |
Position holder names are entered from the board’s official notification once the gazette is issued. We do not publish unverified names — a wrong name on a topper list can cost a student real scholarship money.
How Lahore Board Decides Positions
Students assume the topper is simply whoever has the highest number on the marksheet. It is close to that, but not quite.
- The aggregate counts both SSC Part-I and Part-II. A student who slipped in 9th class rarely recovers enough ground in 10th to reach the top three.
- Total is 1100 marks across the two years.
- Only candidates appearing in the annual regular examination are considered. Private candidates, supplementary cases and improvement-of-marks candidates fall outside the position list.
- Where two students tie on aggregate, the board applies its tie-breaking rule and a joint position may be declared.
- Any candidate with a unfair-means case pending is held back from the list until the case closes.
That last point catches people off guard. A student can top the district on raw marks and still be absent from the notification because a UMC decision is pending in Lahore.

Grading Scale
| Grade | Percentage | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A1 | 80% and above | Exceptional |
| A | 70% – 79% | Excellent |
| B | 60% – 69% | Very Good |
| C | 50% – 59% | Good |
| D | 40% – 49% | Fair |
| E | 33% – 39% | Satisfactory |
| F | Below 33% | Fail |
A1 is where the conversation about toppers even begins. Position holders in Lahore Board sit far above the A1 threshold — usually within a handful of marks of a perfect aggregate.

- Sheikhupura
- Nankana Sahib
Compact jurisdiction, enormous student body. Lahore city alone contributes more matric candidates than several full boards elsewhere in Punjab.
What Toppers Actually Do Differently
Talk to position holders and the same handful of habits keep surfacing. None of them are dramatic.
They treat 9th class as half the exam, not a rehearsal. This is the single largest separator. A 520/550 in Part-I gives you room to be human in Part-II. A 470 does not.
They write past papers under the clock. Not reading them — writing them, three hours, no phone, then marking against the scheme.
They protect the cheap marks. Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies carry 50 each and are the most predictable papers on the sheet. Losing eight marks there is losing eight marks nowhere.
Practical notebooks are done in October, not March. Internal practical marks are 10 per science subject, 30 marks total, and every year students hand in rushed notebooks and lose four or five of them.
They keep a mistake register. One notebook, every error from every test, reviewed the week before finals. It is unglamorous and it works.
After the Result
If your marks do not match what you expected, Lahore Board runs a rechecking process — not re-marking. The examiner’s addition, the totalling, any unmarked question or blank page gets verified. The paper is not graded a second time. Applications carry a fee and a deadline counted from the result declaration date, both notified by the board.
Failed one or two papers? The supplementary examination gives you a second attempt in the same academic year, so you can still start 1st year on schedule with most colleges.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Lahore Board position holders announced on result day? The board typically issues the position list with the result notification. Occasionally the toppers list follows a short while later if verification is still running.
Does the position list include private candidates? No. Only regular annual candidates from affiliated institutions are eligible.
Can I see toppers from earlier sessions? Yes — past position lists stay published on this page by year, so you can compare aggregates across sessions.
Do I need an internet-connected computer to check my result? No. The rezult.pk result form works on any phone browser. Roll number, class, exam year, Search Result.
Is there a prize for topping Lahore Board? The Punjab government and the board announce cash awards, laptops and merit scholarships for position holders. Amounts and schemes are notified officially each session; we publish them once the notification is out rather than repeating figures from previous years.
My roll number is not being accepted. What now? Check for a leading zero you may have dropped, confirm you selected the correct year, and make sure you are searching the 10th class option and not 9th. If it still fails, the gazette entry may be delayed — try again after a few hours.
